Jeffery A. Sanders, Sr.

Jeffery A. Sanders Sr. was born in El Centro, California.  He lived independent of his family at a very early age and consequently grew up in the streets.  Upon becoming a Young Man, he enlisted and served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps and thus was afforded the ability to travel the world.  After the his Duty in the  Military Service he returned to California only to learn the “Street Life” of Los Angeles which eventually lead to incarceration.  Incarceration changed him! His eyes open and his Faith in a Higher Power became an integral part of his daily life and was strengthened.  The change he experienced in “Prison Life” was the genesis of who Jeffery has become today. His Spiritual Inspiration can be seen clearly in his poetry along with a Strong Focus on eradicating ALL Forms of Abuse. 

He is the father of Three Lovely Daughters and One Son.  His poetry reflects his compassion for the Black Woman and various other challenges particular to the African-American community. 

Jeffery has relocated to Boston, Massachusetts and is currently matriculating towards a Degree in Clinical Social Work.
